Privacy Policy for An-Noor

An-Noor (“An-Noor”, “the App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a Quran reading application.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use An-Noor.
1. Information We Collect
An-Noor does not require you to create an account and does not directly request personal information such as your name, email address, telephone number, or postal address.
An-Noor uses Firebase Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how the App is used and to improve the App.
When Analytics collection is enabled, Firebase Analytics may automatically collect certain information, including:
- App activity, such as screen views and interactions with the App.
- Approximate location, such as country or general geographic area derived from network information.
- Device or other identifiers used by Firebase Analytics to distinguish app installations and measure usage.
- Information necessary for Analytics to provide usage statistics and reports.
An-Noor does not intentionally collect precise location information, contacts, photos, or personal communications.
2. Firebase Analytics
An-Noor uses Firebase Analytics, provided by Google LLC.
Firebase Analytics helps us understand how users interact with the App. For example, An-Noor may use Analytics to record screen views and certain interactions with App settings.
Analytics collection can be enabled or disabled through the Analytics setting provided within An-Noor.
When Analytics collection is disabled, An-Noor disables Firebase Analytics collection.

3. How We Use Analytics Information
Analytics information is used to:
- Understand how users interact with An-Noor.
- Understand which features are being used.
- Improve the App and its user experience.
- Analyze general usage trends.
- Help us make decisions about future improvements to the App.
We do not intentionally use Firebase Analytics to identify individual users by name.
4. Data Sharing
An-Noor does not sell personal information.
When Analytics is enabled, information collected by Firebase Analytics is transmitted to and processed by Google/Firebase for analytics purposes.
We do not intentionally share users’ personal information with unrelated third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
Firebase Analytics may process information in accordance with Google’s applicable terms, policies, and service configuration.
5. Data Retention
Analytics data is retained and processed according to the configuration and retention policies applicable to the Firebase Analytics service.
An-Noor does not independently maintain a separate database containing users’ Firebase Analytics information.

6. Data Stored on Your Device
An-Noor stores certain information locally on your device to provide its functionality.
This may include:
- App settings and preferences.
- Quran-related application data.
- Bookmarks or other locally stored application state, where applicable.
The Quran database bundled with An-Noor contains Quranic and application reference data and is not intended to contain users’ personal information.
Local application data is managed by the operating system and may be removed when the App is uninstalled.
7. Device Permissions
An-Noor may request certain device permissions when required for specific features.
Permissions are used for their respective application functionality.
An-Noor does not intentionally use device permissions to collect personal information for advertising purposes.
8. Analytics Choices
You can control Firebase Analytics collection through the Analytics setting in An-Noor.
If Analytics collection is disabled, the App disables Firebase Analytics collection.
Disabling Analytics does not affect the core Quran reading functionality of the App.
9. Children’s Privacy
An-Noor does not require users to create an account or provide personal information such as their name, email address, or telephone number.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
10. Security
Information transmitted to Firebase services is protected using encryption in transit.
We take reasonable measures to protect information processed in connection with the App. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to An-Noor, the services used by the App, or applicable legal requirements.
When changes are made, the updated version will be published on this page and the “Last updated” date will be changed accordingly.
